The idea to found Greenfinder arose from the desire of Sascha Nachtnebel to buy an electric bike for commuting in his hometown of Heidelberg. In 2011, there was no such overview available on the internet that provided an independent comparison of e-bikes and pedelecs. Together with his business partner Jochen Greiner he decided to launch Greenfinder and instantly started researching the first ebike models. A few weeks later, they found a team of web development experts with analog multimedia and the online development of this amazing project was under way.
Today, Greeninder provides the largest independent comparison platform for electric bikes worldwide. The internal database currently comprises more than 9,500 models of e-bikes, pedelecs and s-pedelecs of almost 400 different brands with more than 4,000 dealers in Germany and is updated daily. The company was founded in January 2012, is self-financed and managed by its owners.
Goal of Greenfinder is to provide all consumers with decent info about electric powered vehicles and to promote electric mobility with innovative services and tools. With its vertical direct comparison, Greenfinder enables end consumers to easily compare a large variety of e-bikes, read rest reports and request for more detailed information on the individual models. E-Bike reviews are available at model level and facilitate the selection. Retailers can sign up easily and thus be found on the retailer search by potential customers in order to i.e. schedule a test drive. Manufacturers can easily register and manage their full range of products through the portal, hand in their actual dealer lists and therefore make all their products more accessible to end consumers.
Greenfinder is connecting end consumers with retailers and thus makes the market for e-bikes more transparent. But also the other areas of electric mobility are of high interest when it comes to alternatives to combustion engines. Therefore, Greenfinder will gather information in any area of electro mobility and makes these available to all people.
